critic's corner: savannah restaurant week

It is Savannah Restaurant Week through Sunday, February 6th and several fine establishments downtown are offering a special prix fixe menu. This means you will spend $30 for each person in your party, excluding tax and tip, and will receive a three course dinner chosen for this occasion. You pick from several options in each course. This is a great way to try a new restaurant or enjoy an old favorite.
Go to the website to learn more about participating restaurants and click on the name of each one to learn what they are offering. Ruth's Chris on Bay Street is one of the featured places to dine. I'm sure you will get your money's worth there. Kao Thai Noodles on Victory Drive, Belford's in City Market and Vic's on the River are just a few of the eleven participants.

Here is the description of the event as posted on their website:
"It’s an opportunity that would have likely been heralded by Englishman James Oglethorpe, who is credited with identifying the site of present day Savannah and laying out its now famous and inviting squares."
Doesn't this sound exciting? I'm looking over all the menus, right now.

Hmm... Thai? Steak, seafood, soul? This may be harder than I thought.
